Vixens Under 14

As players reach the U14 level, our Vixens enter a crucial new phase of their football journey: the transition into the competitive side of the game. This stage marks a natural progression from the foundational and developmental focus of earlier age groups, introducing our young female athletes to the challenges, demands, and rewards of competitive football for the first time.

While winning is not the primary objective, players are now encouraged to embrace and master the competitive nature of the game within a supportive, girls-focused environment. This shift is not simply about results, but about helping young women understand what competition truly means, learning to back themselves, handle pressure with composure, and respond constructively to both success and setbacks. This stage introduces the “Play to Compete” approach, an essential building block in the players’ long-term development as both athletes and young women.

U14 Vixens sessions help players understand what it means to compete with purpose, building resilience, game intelligence, and a stronger competitive mindset. Beyond the tactical and technical elements of the game, this stage places real emphasis on empowering girls to grow in confidence, take ownership of their performance, and develop a strong sense of self-belief both on and off the pitch. Playing within an all-girls environment allows players to compete freely, support one another, and build lasting friendships as they navigate this pivotal stage together.

By the end of this phase, our U14 Vixens are equipped not only with the technical and tactical tools required to compete, but also with the confidence, mental resilience, and team spirit needed to thrive as they progress further in their football journey.
